A mind like wild horses

Have you ever wondered... “Is it wrong to just use the meditation technique like a mantra when the mind gets overly busy?”

No, not wrong at all.

There’s no shame in repeating the meditation technique over and over when your mind is running like wild horses. 🐎🐎🐎  No shame at all!

Do I do it?  Sometimes.  When my body is agitated and my mind gets flooded with tons of thoughts, sure.

Like for example, I’m out in the sun picking berries too long, and my mind is running extra busy.  The difference is that I don’t conclude there’s something wrong with my mind, no.

It’s simply the mind-body connection.  The mind becomes more active because the body is more active in healing.  I don’t fight it.

So there’s no shame in feeling like your mind is stampeding 🐎🐎🐎.  It settles.  It always does.

The trick is to not judge it.

When you ALLOW whatever is happening, then you’ll resist the urge to panic and force your mind into a “better” judged state 👈

Like, for example, by trying to find the stillness.  (And ironically the very act of searching for the stillness just chases it away... fueling more panic.)

So, yes, you can repeat the meditation technique as often as you need to, anytime you want.  Pick any one that comes to mind and repeat it over and over, innocently, until you feel you don’t need to anymore.

They have a reliable, calming quality.  They settle the personal mind into the infinite mind.  They pull awareness underneath the thought stream and into the stillness of your soul.

From here, you have an entirely new perspective on whatever is going on.

This soul perspective is your treasure.  It’s always there waiting for you.  It confirms that you’re more than your surface thoughts.

So... right now, make a vow to your future self when your mind feels like wild horses 🐎🐎🐎:

“Future self, it’s okay, you have done nothing wrong.”
