Meditation for Tech Nerds
$30 registration (four Sundays)
Hello!
My name is Michael Persimmon.
I’m a former monk, and I created this course for you because I wanted my tech nerd friends to have calm, yet go far further than than mere calm.
I wanted them to be transformed by the raw peace that comes from states of super-consciousness to cope with whatever life throws at them.
And not just survive, but thrive in ways that they didn’t know they were missing.

So are you ready to have less anxiety and worry on your mind?
Drop into sleep quickly?
React less and respond more?
Recover from emotional upsets in 15 minutes?
Feel genuinely, deeply good? For no reason at all?
And uncover an inner state that heroes in our myth-stories would speak of?
Yes, infinite-based stillness meditation does this all!
Better than YouTube, App, or AI
As it turns out, learning to meditate sustainably is not something that can be ...
...taught in an hour,
...nor learned from a YouTube video,
...nor mastered with a 30-day app,
...nor found in an LLM.
The landscape of the mind, emotions and consciousness is too nuanced to cover in one afternoon. Nor with a one-size-fits-all model.
Just like learning anything else, it requires one-on-one training and support. Just as if you are learning to dance, or fly a plane—feedback is vital!
“But what is it?” you ask
This “Meditation for Tech Nerds” course is a four Sunday workshop focusing on your profound inner needs while respecting your apprehension about meditating.
You will sit comfortably in your comfiest chair and learn a set of techniques that charm the mind at ever-deeper levels, with a plethora of side-benefits (better sleep anyone? have more energy?).
The meditation techniques are:
- gentle & effortless
- require no belief
- usable in any situation, eyes-open or eyes-closed
- not religious, or incompatible with any belief system
- not mindfulness, or breath, or anything you’ve tried before
- not one-size-fits all
- and they synchronize your brain hemispheres
Most importantly, we’ll proceed step-by-baby-step so you’ll feel good about what you’re learning.
The course’s emphasis is on giving you a thorough understanding of the in’s and out’s of the mind-body connection in a jargon-free, non-religious way so that you will feel confident about meditating on your own.
It’s important that you have a tangible experience of the raw peace of the super conscious state that fuels your desire to continue. Experience is everything.
As for the course in general, it feels more like an extended conversation rather than a lecture, and the time just flies by. Really, people can’t believe at how fast the time goes—it’s a delight.
(And no, we’re not meditating the entire time, so you can breathe easily!)
You can’t fail
If you’ve tried and given up before, you’ll finally understand why it couldn’t “take” and that it wasn’t your fault. (Really.)
Finally, I have a rigorous 5-year training as a monk, and I would rather share with you all that I’ve learned—without oddness, spiritual lingo, specialness, and endless upgrades—a rarity in the meditation world.
I as the instructor take full responsibility for you “getting it”, so there’s no pressure on your side.
Yes, you can do it!
Anyone can meditate deeply, if it’s presented smartly and sustainably.
Yes, even if you have chronic body pain.
Yes, even if you have an ADHD neurodivergent brain.
Yes, even if you feel too far gone.
You will have peace in your whole being again.
So even if you’ve tried and failed at meditation before, try a completely different way and prepare to be pleasantly surprised 😊
And since it’s by donation, what is there to lose, except your stress?
When:
Four Sundays: May 17ᵗʰ, 24ᵗʰ, 31ˢᵗ, June 7ᵗʰ from 10:15 am - 2:30 pm Pacific Time 🔎 your time zone
Sorry to say, but you must be able to commit to all dates, for the full duration.
Why? The course is specially designed as a progression of learning, experience, and feedback.
It is unlike other traditional meditation formats, and therefore missing any part would regrettably leave you too far behind.
Regarding the topic of recordings, the classes are not meant to be watched passively as a video replay, and therefore will not be recorded. In-the-moment feedback can only happen live and in-person.
If you cannot fully commit this time, sign up to our low-volume mailing list for future courses:
Where:
Group setting online via Zoom.
No, sounds are inevitable and therefore aren’t a deterrent.
Unlike other formats, this meditation practice doesn’t try to control the world.
You’ll just need a distraction-free zone, which doesn’t mean silent.
For example, older pets are okay if they’re low maintenance; younger pets are too needy and distracting.
No. Sit comfortably in your comfiest chair.
If you have back pain and worry about sitting, you can prop yourself up at an angle with cushions to release the pressure from your back. Or simply recline in a “zero gravity chair”.
Comfort is good 👍

Looking forward to meeting you!
You walk into a room and feel relaxed and confident. Someone asks you how you’re doing, and you can sincerely say you’re feeling great, as you look them in the eye and smile. The other person smiles back and you feel an easy connection.
You cannot remember feeling anxious, out of place, nor separate from others. That’s a distant memory. You are meditating now.
Meditation is giving you a calm solidity. You can’t imagine not doing it. You feel like you've always wanted to feel. You’re the most “you” you can remember.
You feel creative, bold, and upsets slide off of your back. Like when you were little. People smile at you more and you feel you can smile back authentically. It’s odd that this feels so easy.
Friends who haven’t seen you ask what you have been “taking”. You struggle to convey the dimensions of this new inner state. You shrug and say that you’ve just started this new type of meditation. No side effects, just benefits.
Life is so much easier.
