Feels like I actually slept!

❝Wow just woke now.  Feel like I actually slept!!!  Motivated to go through my tasks today.❞

❝I'm doing more meditation and sleeping more these last few weeks❞

❝I'm sleeping tons.  Think I'm shedding some negative energy or something.❞

❝I meditate all night any time I woke up.  And woke for good at 7:30am!!  All great!❞

This is from a student who messaged me who was sleeping poorly and was struggling to stay positive during the day, facing setbacks and no energy reserves to cope.

You too can sleep deeply and wake up feeling more refreshed than you can remember.

I've seen lots of sleep tips, but none that fundamentally address the body-mind.  It's not complicated either:

  1. Unless you're zonking tired, sit up in bed and meditate until you start yawning 🥱

Why?  Meditating calms down your body-mind.

It synchronizes your brain hemispheres 🧠 and takes your consciousness to a new level.

This makes you extra-relaxed, which is very close to being extra-sleepy 😴

Don't force yourself to stay awake past the yawning point.

Just slip down into bed, continue to meditate, and let sleep come naturally.

  2. If/when you prematurely wake up, DO NOT PICK UP YOUR PHONE  🚫📱🙅‍♂️

Instead, sit up in bed with some pillows behind your back, and, yes, meditate.

At first, you will want to do anything but.  You may even think nothing will work now.

Your brain is habituated to want to do something stimulating.  Resist the urge.  It will soon turn around.

So why meditate here?  Because the way that I teach meditation rapidly calms down your body-mind, making it sleepy again.

    This what you really want.

Remember:  your phone will never make you tired—it will make your brain wired ⚡🧠⚡

  3. Ta-da!

Wake up 🌞 and marvel at feeling more refreshed than you can remember 🎉

Aaaaand you will have gotten in one of your daily meditation sessions.  Bonus! 🙌

  4. Roll with it:

Before getting distracted by your daily to-do list, make some time in your morning routine to meditate for 15-20 minutes.

It will seem super easy now.

Your body-mind is rested and you can go deep, quickly.

You do this to nurture the stillness of your soul (as opposed to immediately switching on 🌪️ thinking mode).

You will carry this inner stillness forward into your mind, your day, and your relationships.

Keep doing this and you become the person you've always wanted to be, effortlessly.
